April 6, 1951 ~ February 19, 2026

Adell Suzette Thomson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed peacefully from this life, leaving behind a legacy woven from generosity, laughter, and boundless love. She devoted her life to caring for others—her family, the children she nurtured, and the countless people who were touched by her kindness. Born on April 6, 1951, in Astoria, Oregon, to Roy Lynn and Icey Huddleston, Adell grew up surrounded by her three siblings—her older brother Bill Huddleston, her younger sister Linda Miyashita, and her younger brother Charlie Huddleston. She later attended Abilene Christian University, where she met the love of her life, Tom Thomson. From a young age, her greatest dream was to be a wife and mother, a calling she fulfilled with support, joy, and an open heart. Adell’s faith was a steady and guiding presence throughout her life. She was a long‑time member of Shelbourne Street Church of Christ in Victoria, B.C. and later Collinsville Church of Christ in Texas, where she built cherished friendships and served with a spirit of humility, warmth, and devotion. Adell is survived by her devoted husband and partner in all things silly and sincere, Tom Thomson, with whom she shared a beautiful, goofy, and enduring love. Their playful accents, shared jokes, and her unmistakable “Oh, Tom.” remain cherished echoes of a marriage built on friendship, humor, and unwavering commitment. She is also survived by her four children, every one of whom she swore was her favorite (and she meant it every single time she said it): • Michael Thomson and his wife Tiffany, and their daughters Liberty and Ayla • Linda Fry and her husband Edward, and their children Elizabeth, Anthony, and Heather • Janet Pyle and her husband JD • Amy Thomas and her husband Chris, and their daughter Remy Adell was a proud grandmother to six, and each grandchild knew her love in the way she expressed it best—through food. Her love language filled kitchens and hearts: dozens of jars of homemade jam, vats of spaghetti sauce simmered with care, and endless containers of her famous Nuts and Bolts. Whatever she made, the main ingredient was always love. Her heart for children extended far beyond her own family. Through Noah’s Ark Daycare, which she ran for many years, Adell created a haven for little ones and a lifeline for families in need. She lived a life of service, offering comfort, stability, and joy to those who needed it most. Adell’s playful spirit was unmistakable. Whether she was pressing her imaginary forehead “on/off button,” imitating Polka Dot Door, or unleashing one of her unforgettable “Ahingahong” sneezes, she brought laughter wherever she went. Her smile was infectious, her humor effortless, her presence a gift. She loved her parents, Icey and Roy Lynn Huddleston, deeply, and now she is reunited with them—at peace, watching over the family she adored. Adell’s greatest legacy is love. She said it often, she showed it always, and she meant it with her whole heart. She was proud of her family—every child, every grandchild—and she made sure they knew it. Her love was abundant, unconditional, and freely given. Those who knew her will carry her spirit forward: her generosity, her laughter, her warmth, and the way she made everyone feel like they were her favorite. Her life was a blessing. Her memory is a treasure. Her love remains. Adell's Celebration of Life will take place at: Collinsville Church of Christ, 201 Walnut Street, Collinsville, TX 76233 (Saturday, February 28, 2026 - 2:00pm)

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. She was my cousin, her Mother and my Father were siblings. When Adell came back down from Canada it was such a Joy. We sat and talked for hours, about how our Families always getting to get her on a weekend. How the Family meant so much to us, how honored we were for that togetherness.
We giggled, had belly laughs, and we had tears. It was like the years we were apart, never existed.
You shared your life, your children, and love of family with me. I will miss you so much, my sweet, sweet ‘Cuz’. Your Unconditional Love was and has been sprinkled about this earth.

  2. I grew up a short bike ride away from Adell’s house. Her son Mike was my best friend, and the Thomsons were my second family for many of my most formative years. If I was not at Mike’s place, chances are he was at mine.

I will be forever grateful to Adell for extending her love and care for her family to me and mine. She was a wonderful, kind, and generous person. I am blessed to have known her.

    • Adell was a treasure here on earth, and now she’s enjoying her reward in Heaven. Our prayers for peace to all of her family and friends.

  3. Adell was a very special Friend to me.I met her through our church a few years ago.Tom and Adell brought us her famous Nuts and Bolts when we first met her. She was a very kind, generous, and loving person. Adell loved to talk about her past and family and I loved hearing all about it.She will be sorely missed.Rest In Peace my sweet Sister in Christ.

  4. She was a sweet lady know she will be missed.

  5. Sharon Thomson Bennett, Nanaimo, BC, Canada says:

Remembering Adell’s cheerfulness and the Pecan Yam Casserole she introduced to the Thomson Family many years ago that is now a staple at our special dinners.
I am most proud and grateful how Mike, Linda, Janet and Amy have rallied around my brother, Tom, at this time. It is a real testament to Adell’s love!

  6. Adell was like a second mom growing up through middle school and high school. Feltham Road is forever engraved in my memories. Her daughter Janet was my best friend and if I wasn’t at my house I could be found at theirs. I found myself at times just sitting with Adell in the living room sipping on a glass of Dr. Pepper with crushed ice (that’s who I got my love for it from) and sharing stories. I’d get so excited when she’d bring back those Mother’s sprinkle circus animal crackers from her visits to the states. She always stocked me up with nuts and bolts every Christmas time and to this day they’re still my favourite. I had my first ever Grasshopper pie and Sweet Tea at their kitchen table. Adell was a true gem and will be missed by all. Her legacy and memories will live on forever. May she rest in peace❤️
