November 9, 1947 ~ February 22, 2026

Barb Wargo was born Barbara Ann Randolph in Wall, South Dakota, to Dale O. Randolph and Bethina (Betty) R. Randolph (Geigle) on November 9th, 1947. Her family later moved to Rapid City, SD. Barb passed away on February 22nd, 2026 in Whitesboro, Texas, from stroke complications three months earlier. She graduated from Rapid City Central High School and Black Hills State University. While at BHSC she was a member of the drill team. Summer time found her on the Rapid City Swim Team and working as a lifeguard. After graduation, she moved to Wisconsin to pursue her teaching career in Physical Education. Barb was married in Wisconsin and then moved back to Rapid City shortly after. She soon began working in the South Dakota Cement Plant office and retired from the National American University business office. Barb’s love of flowers was always one of her favorite pastimes. She was very active in whatever her sons were involved in, from showing horses, 4H, or Little Britches Rodeo. She also participated in raising and showing horses with the American Quarter Horse Association. In 2013 Barb moved to Whitesboro, TX to be close to her son and daughter-in-law. There she kept busy donating time to her church doing the bookkeeping. She also took pride in helping with the church’s resale store Helping Hands, which donates their proceeds back to the community. She spent hours tending to her rose bushes and flowers. Barb is survived by her son Trent (Joy) Wargo of Collinsville, TX. Sister Bonnie Kinstad and brother David Randolph both of Rapid City, SD, 2 nephews and 2 nieces. She is preceded in death by her mother Betty Randolph (1982) and her father Dale Randolph (2009). Her son Tommy (TJ) Wargo (2005). For her Texas family, visitation will be from 5-7pm Sunday March 1st at Meador Funeral home in Gainesville TX. A memorial service will be held at 11am Monday March 2nd at Faith Lutheran Church in Gainesville TX.
