Billy Jack Phelps, 79, of Whitesboro, Texas, was called to his eternal home on Saturday, October 25, 2025. Billy was born on June 26, 1946, in Whitesboro, Texas to John and Vera (Stubblefield) Phelps. He attended schools in Whitesboro and worked for Enderby gas. On March 31, 1975 he married Eleanora Foster in Willis, Oklahoma and together they built a home and raised their family. Billy enjoyed hunting, fishing, working with his dogs, and watching westerns and the Young and the Restless on TV. He loved his family and the time spent with them. He is survived aby his son, Chuck North and wife, Delsey of Keller; daughter, Michelle Rijbroek and husband, Sander of Whitesboro; grandchildren, Chelsey North, Carrie Chaffin, Destiney Bibb, Billy Rijbroek, Dene Rijbroek, Ryan Deaton, and Kailie Kopp, eleven great-grandchildren, brother, Dub Phelps, brother, Orval Phelps, nephews, Clint Phelps, Cliff Phelps, Jeffrey Phelps, Kenneth Phelps, Jody Dyer, Ronnie Tyler, Brad Phelps, and Chris Roberts, nieces, Tammy Nelson and Kayla Embrey, as well as his beloved dog, Eeor. Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanora Phelps, parents, John and Vera Phelps, daughter, Angie Deaton, daughter, Belva Young, and ten siblings. A funeral service honoring Billy Jack will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.

    As I sit down to write this my hands shake and my head hurts. And my minds everywhere. The pain I feel is nothing compared to the love you gave us and ill forever be humble for that. Thank you for always making sure me and my family had a home in you. day or night rain or shine. No calls just show up . Because of you I graduated high-school and got my act together iv been sober 5 years had my own family and got married to the man of my dreams. you probably have no idea how much of a hero you have been to me . I love you so much . And liam does too! You taught me so mamy valuable life lessons like chew with your mouth shut. Forgive alittle more and taking the fish off the hook ya know the grossest part of life for a girl . Thank you for everything the good the bad and the ugly . And all the tractor rides along the way. Ill cherish all the memories even the not so good ones just all of them to the fullest. But I know you have some catching up to Do with so ill rap this up i figure Grammy and everyone else in the sky are lined up to welcome you . Shoot I know unc is probably ready to go coon hunting and Grammy is ready to be caught up on life down here. Please give everyone in the sky my love and shake Jesus hand for me for letting you finally be a peace. You put up a good fight and you can fiqqanally rest now . We are okay .
