Debra Faye Seay, 63 of Valley View, Texas passed away at her home on March 15, 2023. She was born on July 9, 1959 in Batesville, Arkansas to Carl Dean Garlin and Betty Jo (Hix) Garlin. Debra was a loving mother to her children and a loving wife to her husband, Scott. She loved the Lord, wholeheartedly. She was dependable, always willing to lend a hand, whenever called upon. Debra’s personality was a light in this world. She will always be in our hearts. Debra is survived by her husband, Scott Otto of Valley View, Texas; son, Donny Burfiend of Garland, Texas; son, Nicholas Seay of Valley View, Texas; daughter, Cortney Seay of Dallas, Texas; son, Nicholas Otto and wife, Jennifer of Temple, Texas; granddaughter, Ava Burfiend of Greenville, Texas; grandson, Koa Otto of Temple, Texas; sister, Jeannie Seay of Valley View, Texas; brother, Harold Garlin and wife, Debra Ann of Pensacola, Florida. Preceded in death by her parents, Carl & Betty Jo Garlin; sister, Katherine Annette Garlin and brother, David Carl Garlin. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Cross Timbers Church, 6134 FM 922, Valley View, Texas Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Gainesville.

    • She was so welcoming and loving. I remember her coming right up to me when I started at the Jail and just giving me the biggest hug. She treated everyone with kindness. My condolences to the family. Y’all are in my prayers.
