Eddie Frank Howard

Eddie Frank Howard, 80, of Gordonville, Texas, died on Thursday, February 5, 2026.
Eddie was born on March 17, 1945, in Ada, Oklahoma, to Raymond and Edith (Spears) Howard. He graduated from Grapevine High School and later attended the University of Texas in Arlington, Texas. He joined the Army Training Center at Fort Bragg in 1967 and received an honorable discharge from the United States Army in 1972.
He was a registered locksmith in the 70’s and later worked for the Security Center Inc. in Dallas, servicing and installing security equipment in banks throughout Texas. After retiring he and his wife moved to Gordonville near Lake Texoma, They became members of the Chapel at Sherwood Shores where he served as a Deacon.
He was a true tinkerer and enjoyed collecting tools of all sorts and spent time working in his workshop. Time was also spent playing the keyboard and finding joy and relaxation through music
He is survived by his wife, Susan; his sons, Ben Howard of Frisco and Jason Howard of Allen; his brothers, Dan Howard and wife Katana of Goldthwaite, Texas, and David Howard of Kerrville; and two nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Edith Howard.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Sherwood Shores Chapel, officiated by Pastor Bobby Baker and Tim Brewer. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service at the chapel.
