Malda Ruth Harber, 87, of Whitesboro, Texas was called home to a glorious reunion in heaven on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. Ruth was born on July 18, 1937 in Elliott, Texas to Tommie and Viola (Middleton) Baker. She graduated from Hearne High School and then on July 22, 1955 she married the love of her life, Frank Harber, in Hearne. Ruth worked for Axtell Pharmacy in Whitesboro for over 14 years. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church of Whitesboro. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking. Her greatest joy was her love of the Lord and her family that she adored. She is survived by her daughter, Kay Glascock and husband, Russell of Valley View; daughter, Kim Talbert and husband, Allen of West Lafayette, Indiana; grandchildren, Sarah Scivally and husband, Danny, Curtis Glascock and wife, Amber, Franklin Talbert, and Brian Talbert, great-grandchildren, Audrey Ratliff, Kendra Ratliff, Brock Glascock, and Shaelyn Glascock. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Tommie and Viola Baker, beloved husband, Frank Harber, and three sisters, Joyce Pennington, Tomie Brown, and Lanelle Tidwell. Pallbearers will be Russell Glascock, Allen Talbert, Franklin Talbert, Curtis Glascock, Brock Glascock, Danny Scivally, Colten Gilbreath, Hank Lovejoy, and Travis Maynard. Funeral services honoring Ruth will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 7, 2025 at Meador Funeral home of Whitesboro, officiated by Bro. Jackie Mitchell. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.

  1. Sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing.Was planning on being there but had last minute appointment calls that interfered.Ruth is with Fank now and she is in God’s hands where no more lonely days wondering where her family was .RIP Ruth u will always be missed by many.

  3. I am sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing (just today-July 9). She and Frank were my neighbors for many years in 2 different neighborhoods. She was such a supporter of mine. So kind and genuine. I’m sure heaven is rejoicing at her homecoming. Prayers for the family as they navigate life without her here on earth. ?
