Mary Ann Eldredge

Mary Ann Eldredge, 78, of Whitesboro, Texas, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026. She was born on May 24, 1947, in Savoy, Texas, to Robert “Bobby” Elk and Mary Adalena Alston.
Mary Ann graduated from Savoy High School and was united in marriage to Carrolton Leon Eldredge on November 18, 1965, in Bells, Texas. A devoted wife and proud mother of two sons, Mary Ann found her greatest joy in caring for her family. She had a gentle, creative spirit and especially enjoyed doing crafts, cooking, reading her bible, listening to Elvis Presley music, and helping others. She never met a stranger and was a friend to many.
Mary Ann is survived by her son, David Britt Eldredge of Whitesboro, her beloved grandchildren, Allison Eldredge and Samantha Garner and husband, Jonathan, daughter-in-law, Michaella Eldredge, and sister-in-law, Norma Elk.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton Eldredge, her parents, Bobby and Adalena Elk, her son, Welsey Lynn Eldredge, and brother, Jerry Paul Elk.
Graveside services honoring Mary Ann will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Sadler Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Don Russell.
She will be remembered for her loving heart, quiet strength, and the deep devotion she had for her family.




Mary was a very special lady, she always talked about her family and we enjoyed seeing her in Brookshire brothers. She knew everyone and we will all miss her. Sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear about Mary Ann’s passing. My prayers are with her family. She was always such a kind and friendly lady. I had the pleasure of teaching. both Britt and Wesley. She was great mother and cook. May God bless and comfort you.
