Robert Embury Goble, 91 of Era, Texas passed away on April 2, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.  Robert was born April 14, 1934 in Arcadia, Florida to Arthur Frederick Goble and Fannette Cleghorn. He married the love of his life, Marilyn Ruth Sargent on October 25, 1956 in N. Miami Beach, Florida.  Robert proudly served in the US Army in Korea and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Robert had a distinguished career in law enforcement.  He served in the City of Opa-locka Fire Department, Forest Ranger, State Park Ranger and law enforcement officer with Dept of Environmental Protection for 28 years.  He was also a licensed boat captain and fishing guide.  Robert was an avid ornithologist, fisherman, treasure hunter and was published in several articles due to his unique skills in trapping and treasure hunting.

Robert is survived by his loving Wife, Marilyn Goble; Daughters and Son-in-laws, Penny and Wayne Twiner of Era, Texas and Jane and Randy McCurley of San Antonio, Texas; Grandsons, Wayne and Cammie Twiner of Lindsay, Texas; Darrell and Tiffany Twiner of Era, Texas; Evan McCurley of Denmark; Daughter-in-law, Laura Goble of Hohenwald, TN; Granddaughters and grandson, Alex McCurley, Caitlin and Corbin Childs of Denton, Texas; Great-grandchildren, Payton and Hunter Twiner, Ryett Twiner of Lindsay, TX, Jarren, Kenna Sewell, Madison Monk of Era, TX; Easton, Adyson and Tuff Twiner; Grandchildren, Brandy, Travis and Cody Goble of Florida; Niece and nephew, Kirk and Marianna Horn, Pam Horn and Bruce Sargent.

Preceded in death by Parents, Art and Fannette Goble; Grandson, Parker Meridth; Great-grandson, Huxton Twiner; First son, Randy Goble and numerous sisters, brothers-in-law and cousins.

Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 10:30 am at the Era Baptist Church, 100 Bolivar Road, Era, Texas 76238 (940)665-9227.
