Olevia (Marcine) Alexander, 82, of Valley View, TX passed away on April 20, 2023, at her residence in Valley View. Visitation will be on Monday, April 25, 2023, from 6:00 Pm to 8:00 Pm at Meador Funeral Home in Gainesville. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Prairie Grove Baptist Church in Valley View, TX with Brother David Whittington officiating with burial to follow at the New Hope Cemetery in Mountain Springs, TX. Marcine was born in Valley View, Tx to C.T. and Olevia Bryant on September 30, 1940. She is a graduate of Valley View High School and received her nursing degree at Texas Women’s University-Denton, TX. She worked as a LVN Nurse for 47 years throughout Texas and New Mexico. Locally she was a Nurse at the Gainesville State school for 21 years and then later retiring from Sears Medical Associates. Marcine was preceded in death by her husband Chuck (Pappy) Alexander, her parents C.T. and Olevia Bryant, sister Geniece Robbins, brothers Anthony Bryant and Weldon Bryant. Marcine is survived by her son Chuck Alexander and wife Carolyn of Valley View; daughters Robin Alexander of Valley View, Paula Gibson & husband,Brad Gibson of Valley View, son Jeff Alexander of New Mexico; sister Trina Bassett and her husband Charlie of Texarkana, TX; brother Jerry Bryant and wife Dicy of Gravette, AR; 6 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews as well as other extended family and friends. Pallbearers will be Clayton Carter, Chaz Alexander, Brandon Stell, Matt Stell, Alex Hamilton and Matt Roan. Honorary pallbearers will be Chaney Fisher, Phil Clark, Pat Clark and Will Fisher.
