Duane Roberson, 58 of Valley View, Texas passed away at his home on July 18, 2025. He was born in Garland, Texas and was raised by Sandy Pierce Gilbert and Dewey Roberson. He married Rhonda Williams on June 24, 2000. Duane loved motorcycles, golf, live music, dancing, antique and sports cars and football (Dallas Cowboys).
Duane is survived by his wife, Rhonda Roberson; son, Michael Moore; daughter, Misty Moore; 8 grandchildren; mother, Sandy & Tommy Gilbert; father, Dewey Roberson & Prissy; brothers, Dale Roberson & wife, Sandra and Bobby Mann; sisters, Shannon & Brian Garrett, Whitney Gilbert, Donna & Britt Watson and Becky Burnett .
A Service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Meador Funeral Home Chapel, 1204 E. California Street, Gainesville, Texas with Bro. Danny Shaver. Visitation will be held at 1:00pm prior to the service.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Gainesville, Texas.

So sorry to hear that our guy is gone, i worked with Duane for I guess 14 yrs at the old border and new, he always had us smiling and on our toes at work, you never knew what he was going to say when we are walking thru the hallway at work, he seem to really love his job, and everyone who worked with him loved him so much, going to miss this guy so much! Rhonda, we all wish we all had more time with Duane. Your world has been rocked to the core, but rest assured the COWBOYS are going all the way this year!! Duane has pull with the big guy! Duane will be missed here on this earth, but he will be welcomed into the kingdom of heaven! I will miss his infectious smile, reflective sunglasses, and most important a man who was so talented he could hold two plates of food and make room for a third without spilling a drop. So sorry for your loss, as it was a loss to anyone that Duane had a chance to speak with. I met Duane in the 90’s and he was always the same person, even after not seeing each other for years we spoke like we had just talked the day before. He will be missed.
Duane will truly be missed by everyone. Always looked forward to seeing him at work. He was always in a good mood and knew everyone’s name.
You are already so missed Duane, I used to bring you an Apple fritter for breakfast on Fridays that was our thing. I also bought you a huge bag of chocolate (cookies and cream Hersheys) from Sam’s just for you and you would put them in the fridge. I will miss those memories so much or the hard times you ALWAYS gave me. There’s no more “mernin Bailee, do I need to wait to speak or did you wake up in a good mood today” today was rough since this would have been your Monday? go rest easy big guy
