Paula Renee Martinek – Vaughan, 68, of Denison, Texas was called to her eternal home on Friday, December 26, 2025. Paula was born on February 5, 1957 in Arlington, Texas to Melvin and Frankie (Dodd) Reichert. She graduated from Arlington High School and worked for many years in the recreational boat industry. On February 5, 2000 she married Bobby Vaughan in Gordonville, Texas. She enjoyed decorating, playing with her animals and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Bobby Vaughan of Denison; son, Jason Wilson and wife, Jaime of Collinsville; son, Jeremy Wilson and wife, Melissa of Van Alstyne; granddaughter, Jessica Wilson, granddaughter, Skylar Wilson, stepchildren, Anna Vaughan, and Ryan Vaughan, brother, Cy Reichert and numerous, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Mel Reichert and Frankie Thompson and her sister, Pam Hicks. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Lone Star Cowboy Church 21116 US Hwy 377 Whitesboro, officiated by Rev. Tyler Parson. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.

    • Paula was such a beautiful person. The Travenol girls were so close and although we moved over time, we never lost the desire to get together. We just didn’t make it in time. Look forward to seeing Paula’s family that she loves so much, and friends at her celebration of life. I’m very thankful Paula loved the Lord. I will see her again! Barbara

  3. I am so sorry to hear of cousin Paula’s passing. She was so kind to call her aunt, my mother, and spent hours talking with her. As believers in Christ, they now have a glorious eternity together being reunited with loved ones.
