Covis Wilson Crawley Jr., age 82, of Whitesboro, Texas, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of faith, service, and deep love for family.
C.W. was born on March 15, 1943, in Gorman, Texas, to Covis Wilson Crawley Sr. and Ethel Pauline Moore Crawley. From an early age, he was shaped by strong values that guided him throughout his life—faith in God, compassion for others, and devotion to family.
He was a faithful member of Legacy Pointe Baptist Church in Whitesboro, where his love for the Lord and his church family was evident to all who knew him. C.W. had a lifelong passion for helping people and never hesitated to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or share wisdom born from experience.
Above all else, C.W. cherished his family. He found his greatest joy in spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, creating memories filled with laughter, stories, and love. He also enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and spent many happy hours on the golf course, a game he truly loved.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Nancy Crawley; his children, Christopher Crawley and wife Connie of Odessa, Monica Cogburn and husband Jason of Keller, Kimberly MacDonald of Aledo, and Joshua Crawley and wife Kelsey of Whitesboro; his sister, Paulette Dodgen and husband John of Burleson; seventeen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces and nephews who will forever treasure his presence in their lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Covis and Pauline Crawley, and his beloved nephew, Jeffrey Dodgen.
C.W. will be remembered for his kind heart, steady faith, and unwavering commitment to those he loved. His life was a blessing, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Memorial services honoring C.W. will be held at 2:00 Pm on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Legacy Pointe Baptist Church in Whitesboro.

Papaw will always be remembered for his love and kindness. ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.’ May God surround our family with His peace and comfort.

CW was one of the best man I have ever known. Dorman and I both thought a lot of him. He loved his Lord and family dearly and was always there for Nancy and his kids. I believe he is now whole and healthy again resting in the arms of God. I’m praying for Nancy and all the family and know we will see him again someday. I love you all.
