LaVaughn LoLetta Allen, 87, of Whitesboro, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. She was born on September 13, 1938, to Efton Guymon and Dorthy Spitzer Guymon.
LaVaughn was a faithful member of Dixie Baptist Church, where she cherished her church family. She enjoyed shopping, especially for purses, watching musical theater and going out to eat every weekend with friends and family. She loved traveling, especially to Branson, and making special memories along the way. Above all, LaVaughn treasured her family and found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelley Skelton and husband Michael of Pilot Point; her son, Mike Allen of Whitesboro; her grandchildren, Bryar Skelton and Cort Skelton; and her brother, Nickey Guymon. LaVaughn is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, as well as extended family and friends whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Efton and Dorthy Guymon; her husband, Kenneth Allen; her daughter, Robin Elaine Allen; and her brother, Arnold Guymon.
A funeral service honoring LaVaughn will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Dixie Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Terry Barnett. Interment will follow at Colbert Garden of Memory. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Meador Funeral Home.
LaVaughn will be remembered for her warm spirit, her love of laughter and good food, and the deep devotion she had for her family, but mostly for her unwavering faith in God.




I loved Ma Vonn deeply and loved her smiles she hared with everyone. Rest easy my dear friend.
She was a fine Christian woman who loved Jesus. She will be greatly missed. See you up there at our home.
Von was the sweetest person I ever knew. She always had the biggest smile and the tightest hug everytime i saw her. Vonn will be missed by all who knew her.
God Blessed me to have LaVaughn in my life, I enjoyed our adventures ❤️ she lived laughed and loved with all her Heart! Vaughn was Beautiful inside and out, she never met a stranger, she made you feel like you were family! Her love for the Lord shined through and through! I Love and miss you dear lady!
