Hugs and prayers for Jenny, Shelley and their families.
I will remember Don for his big smile, all the travel we shared, the memories we made and the fun times. He was a very special man.
“I’ve had some of the best and most interesting conversations of my life with Don, except of course when the Cowboys were playing. His smile was big and infectious. I will always be grateful that our paths crossed and that I had the chance to know him. He is, and always will be, in my heart.”
I have known Don since January 2014 when he moved in to our neighborhood. We became friends right away ! He was a breath of fresh air, his smile was contagious and he always had something positive to say every day like how amazing it was to live in this neighborhood and what a beautiful day with his arms spreading upward to the heavens ! I was in contact with him up till February 1 when I texted him. He truly was an addition to my life and I’m grateful for it.
In recent years had wonderful times traveling with Don. A great peaceful person who was fun to be with.

We traveled with Don and Sandi, and know that he was a darn good time!!! And, astonishingly, we climbed up a 3/4 mile 45° hill to a castle in France in April 2024 and the man was barely out of breath, always raring to go, keeping us all on our toes, we all had to keep up with him!! We will always remember how much fun he was, what a sense of humor! We are very glad we got to know him and enjoy his company. We are sorry for your loss. We will not soon forget his smile and the fun times with him.
Sorry for your loss. Hugs to you, Shelley, and the rest of the family.
It has been an honor to have Don as a great neighbor and friend. My husband Viktor and I enjoyed all the times we hung out together with Don and Sandi. Our sincere condolences to the family. RIP Don, we all miss you
Our deepest condolences. Don was our neighbor for 11 years and what a joy it was to have him in our community. Always positive and with his infectious smile. Conversations were always interesting when he spoke of his travels and life abroad. We were blessed to know him and will surly miss him.
Don was my big brother in the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity at West Texas Stste University. We first met in our dorm as we were assigned rooms across from each other. So many good memories of those years. We lost touch with each other after college and had just recently reconnected. I live close to Whitesboro and we were going to reconnect and visit. He asked that I wait until March. So sad to miss getting to see and visit with a good friend and brother from college. Prayers for his family during this difficult time
