Katie Alice (Parsley) Hogan

Katie Alice (Parsley) Hogan, born November 2, 1926 in Amarillo, Texas to O.D. & Cassie (Berry) Parsley.  Her and her brother, Don grew up on a farm in Amarillo.  Then she eventually went to college in Boulder, Colorado.  In 1945 she met the love of her life, Frank Hogan and started a family that brought her great joy.  She was the kindest, most loving person, always doing her best to make sure everyone was loved and taken care of.  However, as much joy and love that her family gave her it was nothing compared to the love, joy and happiness that she got from our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ.  She was thrilled to be able to share the love he gave her with anyone that she met.

Katie was preceded in death by: Father, Orlo Parsley; Mother, Cassie Leah (Berry) Parsley; Brother, Don Parsley; Husband, Frank K. Hogan; Daughter, Cheryl (Hogan) Griffith; Son, Timothy Hogan; Son, John Hogan, Sr. and wife, Lisa Hogan; Son, Daniel Hogan and many greatly loved grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchild.

Survived by: Daughter-in-law, Jackie (Albright) Hogan; Grandchildren, Christine Griffith, John Spencer Hogan, Melissa (Hogan) Pagonis, Jennifer Hogan, John Hogan, Jr., Tracy Hogan, James Hogan, A.J. Hilton, Levi Hilton, Jason Hogan and wife, Mellie, Robert Hogan and wife, Jami, Alicia Looye, Sandy Ackerman; many loved great and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 6, 2026 at 2:00pm Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home (formerly Meador) 1204 E. California Street, Gainesville, Texas.  A visitation will be held at 1:00pm prior to the service.  Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville, Texas.
