Sharon Kay Caldwell, 84 of Gainesville, Texas passed away on June 21, 2026.  She was born on October 11, 1941 in Heralds Prairie, Illinois to Ottis Millikan and Mona (Bryan) Millikan.  Kay married J.P. Caldwell in Alvarado, Texas on July 9, 1958.  She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Gainesville, Texas.  Kay worked at First State Bank in Gainesville and also American National Insurance Company and was a hard worker all her life.  She loved to listen to gospel music, go shopping and visiting with people.

Kay is survived by her husband, J.P. Caldwell; daughters, Karen Wood and husband, Mike; Mitzi Wood and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Taylor Cook and husband, Joe; Ryan Wood and wife, Katlyn, Travis Wood and Troy Wood; great-grandchildren, Trenton Cook, Kambri Cook, Riley Cook and Ellie Wood; also several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, Ottis and Mona Millikan; son, Kevin Paul Caldwell and several loving siblings of which she was the last.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 at 3:00pm at Temple Baptist Church, Gainesville, Texas. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 25, 2026 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 1204 E. California Street, Gainesville, Texas.  Interment to follow service at Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville, Texas.
