Patricia Winona “Nona” Sluder, 84 of Gainesville, Texas passed away on June 25, 2026.  She was born on May 30, 1942 in Baldwin, Louisiana to Charlie M. Bland and Lou Ellen (Carter) Bland.  Patricia married Jimmy Sluder in Durant, Oklahoma on February 18, 1966.  She was an active member of Temple Baptist Church of Gainesville, Texas and retired from the State of Texas after a long career.  She also spent her time volunteering at the Red Cross and was a member of the Liberty Bell women’s group also.  Patricia loved spending time and traveling with her family and grandkids.

Patricia is survived by her son, Eddie Sluder and wife, Bridgette; grandson, Thomas Sluder; granddaughter, Sarah Sluder; sister, June Irvin; brother-in-law, Bill Sluder; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Lou Ellen Bland; husband, Jimmy Sluder and 4 brothers, Steve, Sammie, Russell and Earl.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at 10:00am at Temple Baptist Church, Gainesville, Texas.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 1204 E. California Street, Gainesville, Texas.  Interment to follow service at Belew Cemetery, Aubrey, Texas.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to Temple Baptist Church or ABBA of Gainesville, Texas.
