John Gabriel Trevino, 41, of Collinsville went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 10, 2026. He was born on January 16, 1985, in Plano, Texas, to Mike SR. and Angie Trevino.
John was known for being a pistol from the very beginning and he lived life that same way with heart, humor, and honesty. As a kid he was a little spitfire who always called things the way he saw them, sometimes throwing in a few hand gestures and words he probably shouldn’t have. That bold spirit stayed with him throughout his life and was part of what made people love him.
John provided 17 years of service to Grayson County working faithfully with Grayson County Precinct 3, where he took great pride in his work. During those years he built strong friendships and earned the respect of those who worked alongside him.
John loved his family. He is survived by his beautiful children, son John Trevino Jr. and daughter Alexis Trevino; his brother Mike Jr and wife Kristin, niece Olivia; and his nephew Garrett, numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. He also leaves behind a circle of friends with whom he shared many laughs, stories, and a cold one.
John was preceded in death by his father, Mike Trevino; his mother, Angie Trevino; and his brother, Adam Trevino.
A memorial service honoring John will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 20, 2026 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
