Betty Jean Carson was born on October 29, 1933 to Homer and Eva Inmon in Slidell, TX. The youngest of six children, Betty grew up on the family farm and later moved to Denton, TX with her mom when she was 10 years old. She attended high school in Denton and when she was 16 years old, she met and eventually married the love of her life, TJ Carson in Gainesville, Texas in April 1950. They later welcomed sons David and Alan to their lives and the family lived in Garland, TX where Betty enjoyed serving as a PTA mom, teaching kids bible class, and helping with countless FFA projects when the boys were in high school. After the boys were gone from home, Betty pursued a longtime desire to help people through nursing. Betty attended Eastfield Jr. College and earned her Nursing Degree and eventually worked in a family practice for over 10 years. When TJ retired, the two of them built a home on the Carson family farm near Valley View, TX and for many years entertained grandchildren, their families, and lots of family members who came to visit. Betty’s faith in the Lord was deep. She loved to read, especially the bible, where she found great comfort and peace. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed.

Enjoyed visiting Betty, she was a good friend to my mother, Lavern Moon. God bless
Our family has such precious memories of “Aunt Betty” and the entire Carson family. I know Mom and Dad truly enjoyed the time spent with her, exploring libraries, courthouses, cemeteries, and gathering old photos of our family ancestry.
We will also truly miss the monthly phone calls to catch up on what was going on in the family and she loved to talk about her family, especially those precious grandchildren.
She will be greatly missed.
The Walker Family,
Marisa, Evelyn, Carol, Darlene
