David Shane Carriker

July 16, 1971 -  July 9, 2017  Gainesville resident David Shane Carriker, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas at the age of forty-five. He was born July 16, 1971 in Gainesville to Virgil L.V. and Nancy (Nash) Carriker. David was a welder by trade. Survivors include his mother, Nancy Nottingham of Gainesville; sons, Jordan Carriker of Callisburg, David Shane Carriker, Jr. of Callisburg, Keeton L.V. Carriker of Callisburg and Jesse Carriker of Callisburg; daughter, Hailey Carriker of Callisburg; brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Christine Carriker of Carrollton; step-father, Tommy Nottingham and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leanne Carriker; brother, Kevin Dean Carriker and father, Virgil L.V. Carriker. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Meador Funeral Home, Gainesville.
