Henrietta Verdell Turner

Henrietta Verdell Turner, 101 of Gainesville, Texas passed away on July 22, 2026.  She was born in Bonham, Texas on February 5, 1925 to Dan Jackson and Elizabeth Parker.  Henrietta married Robert Turner in Sherman, Texas on October 18, 1997.

Henrietta is survived by children: Tommy McGinnis (Hulencia); Charles Bateman (Wanda); Lizzie McGinnis; Johnny Bateman (Stephanie); R. C. Love (Melissa); Betty Johnson (Russell) and Debra Benson (Ivy); also, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, great-great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, Lizzie Parker/Jackson and Dan Jackson; siblings; Bob Brannon,  LJ Brannon, Lottie Brannon,  Josephine Jackson, Adell Jackson, Cora Brannon, Perline Brannon, Anne Brannon and Erline Brannon; children, James Chaffin, Martha Moore, Cindy Burris and Peggy Love.

Funeral service will be held at Hillcrest Church of Christ, 1712 O’Neal Street, Gainesville, Texas on Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 11:00am.  Visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, 1204 E. California Street, Gainesville, Texas.  Interment to follow service at Fairview Cemetery.
