Rick Alan Olson

October 15, 1980 -  December 18, 2010  TUSCON - Funeral services for Rick Alan Olson, 30, will be held Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas. Interment will follow the service at the Dixie Cemetery.Rick's accomplishments include: Founder of Olson Precision Machining, Eagle Scout, Served in the United States Air Force as a certified meteorologist, private pilot and an Associates Degree in Applied Science. Rick is survived by his parents, Dwayne and Bobbie Olson; his loved dog, Dixie; grandfather, Con Olson; sister, Tricia (Troy) Ballenger and her daughter, Brittney. Rick's favorite hobby was his machine shop. All who knew him, knew him as a very sensitive and caring person. Rick often repeated the quote from his Uncle Herb: "Idle hands are the devil's workshop." In lieu of flowers the family asks that you donate in Rick's honor to the Humane Society or St. Judes Research Hospital.
