Samuel Abraham Fernandez

Samuel Abraham Fernandez, 32 of Gainesville, Texas passed away on May 25, 2026.  He was born in McKinney, Texas to Joseph Andrew Fernandez and Robin Lea (Kinnison) Fernandez.  Samuel married Kristin Elizabeth Waggoner in Portland, Texas on July 28, 2017.

He worked as a dealer for the Chickasaw and Choctaw Nation for many years.  Samuel also loved being at the beach and playing games with his family and friends.   He was adventurous, always wanting to try new foods and visit every place he could.  Sam always said his favorite things were family, food and friends.

Samuel is survived by his wife, Kristin Elizabeth Fernandez of Gainesville, Texas; son, Logan Nathaniel Fernandez of Gainesville, Texas; father, Joseph Andrew Fernandez of Valley View, Texas; mother, Robin Lea Fernandez of Valley View, Texas; brothers, Joshua Fernandez of Denton, Texas and William Fernandez of Valley View, Texas; niece, Isabella Sarahi Fernandez Gonzalez of Gainesville, Texas.

Preceded in death by grandmother, Faith Scott; grandpa, Richard Kinnison; grandmother, Donna Fernandez and grandpa, Jose Fernandez, aka Gooses; grandmother, Lorelei Diamond Holzem.
