Scott Wakeford, 79 of Lake Kiowa, Texas passed away with his family by his side on August 31, 2026.   He was born February 27, 1947 in Ontario, Canada to William Wakeford and Joan L. (Cowan) Wakeford.  Scott married April Tansy on November 16, 2002 in Sedona, Arizona.  He was a Christian and always respected keeping the Sabbath day holy.  Scott was an avid golfer and also loved to play tennis.

Scott is survived by his wife, April Wakeford; son, Justin Wakeford and wife, Charissa; daughter, Lydia Wakeford; grandchildren, Alexia Wakeford, Dillon Wakeford and Zachary Wakeford; sisters, Felicia Zaffiro and Susan Reiter; brothers, Michael Reiter, and wife Vera Reiter and David Zaffiro and wife Susan Zaffiro; also, multiple nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his Father,  William Wakeford and Mother, Joan Reiter;  and sister, Alana Cohn.

There will be a private memorial service.
