Terry Monroe Patton

Terry Patton, 84, of Callisburg, Texas was called to his eternal home on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

Terry was born on June 21,1941 in East Bernstadt, Kentucky to Henry and Florence (Green) Patton.  He graduated from Hazel Green High School. On May 6,1966 he married Susan Manlove.  Terry served our country in the United States Army in Korea.  He worked as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service until he retired. Terry served many years in various churches as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher, Youth worker, and Building and Grounds chairman. He enjoyed woodworking, home projects, fishing, gardening, and anything related to nature.  Terry cherished his family and loved the time spent with them.  He never met a stranger and will be remembered for his quick wit and his willingness to help anyone who needed it.

Terry is survived by his daughter Teresa Patton Hayduk and her boyfriend Mark Hering, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Terry is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Susan Manlove Patton, his parents Henry and Florence Patton, brothers Horace Patton and Charles Patton, sisters Audrey Baker and Jeraldine Watkins, and son-in-law Darcy Hayduk.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.  A Celebration of Life will be held on June 29, 2026 at 10:00AM at New Hope Baptist Church, Mineola, Texas, Lunch and a time of visitation with the family will immediately follow.

The family respectfully requests that In lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Terry’s honor to New Hope Baptist Church Youth program or Operation Christmas Child.
